Nyékládháza

Nyékládháza’s best known tourist attraction is its very extensive series of lakes, which came into being through the flooding of former gravel pits.

Amongst its other attractions is the former Egry-Szepessy Mansion, built in the town-centre between 1790 and 1801, in the Classicist style. The ground-floor of the two-storey building functions as an old people’s home. The first-floor is used as an exhibition area, which, beside a permanent display dealing with the town’s history, also provides opportunities for temporary displays to be held.
