More than 700 small-to-large caves can be found in the Aggtelek National Park; these were placed on UNESCO’s World Natural and Cultural Heritage List in 1995.

Of those caves which are open to the public in Hungary, the one best known and most often visited - the Baradla Cave - is to be found here; it is the largest, and also the most spectacular, in the country.
For those interested, apart from the caves, the National Park also offers a variety of touring possibilities within its area.
